The License to Carry – Shoot Only class is a firearms qualification session for individuals who have already completed the classroom or online portion of the Texas License to Carry (LTC) course. During the session, participants complete the required live-fire proficiency test under the supervision of a certified instructor. The qualification involves firing 50 rounds at a target from distances of 3, 7, and 15 yards, demonstrating safe handgun handling and basic marksmanship. Successfully passing the test provides the shooting certification needed to finish the Texas LTC application process.
