Potted Planting" is an engaging community gardening event held at the Forest Green Branch of the Dallas Public Library. This recurring program invites local seniors and adults to come together and collaborate on the care of vegetables, flowers, and ornamental plants. Participants have the opportunity to get their hands dirty while working in a relaxing outdoor environment located right outside the library facility. The sessions are designed to foster a sense of community as attendees share labor, gardening knowledge, and a love for growing things. While some materials are provided on-site, participants are encouraged to bring their own gardening gloves or any spare pots they may have. This hands-on workshop is a wonderful way for both novice and experienced gardeners to connect with neighbors and contribute to a shared green space. The event typically takes place on Saturday mornings, providing a perfect start to the weekend for those looking to enjoy nature and learn new skills. Occurs every other Saturday of the month.
