Willis Family Equestrian Center

The Willis Family Equestrian Center, located near Baylor campus, is named for Baylor graduates Richard and Karen Willis. Phase I of the 45,000-square foot facility includes a covered riding arena with spectator seating, an outdoor Western arena with spectator seating, and more than 20 covered stalls to house horses. The center's first official show took place on Oct. 6 against New Mexico State. Plans for Phases II and III include a horse barn as well as a team barn that will house administrative offices, meeting rooms, locker rooms and training rooms. Access to the arena and the team areas shall be limited to participating student-athletes, coaches, officials, support personnel and properly credentialed individuals at all times. For the safety of participants and spectators alike, at no time before, during or after an event shall spectators be permitted into the arena, horse stalls and paddocks.
