Valley Trotters Youth Ranch, located in McAllen, Texas, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded on December 8, 2008. The ranch is dedicated to benefiting youth, strengthening families, and rehabilitating horses through various programs. These programs are funded by donations and contributions. The organization provides a safe environment where children can find acceptance, build trust, develop relationships, and learn valuable life skills.The ranch offers riding programs tailored to build confidence, optimism, trust, and personal skill development in children aged 4-18. These programs pair each rider with a horse and instructor to ensure an optimal learning environment. Valley Trotters Youth Ranch also provides volunteer opportunities for individuals aged 8-80, matching their skills with needs in areas such as the feed team or development team. Additionally, the Equine Rescue Program teaches volunteers how to care for mistreated horses, providing a comfortable setting to restore them to health.Valley Trotters Youth Ranch has provided 12,926 hours of equine sessions, rescued and rehomed 45 horses, impacted 10,225 children through its programs, and accumulated 10,011 volunteer hours to date.
