Texas Tech Equestrian Center is a teaching, research, and outreach facility home to various Texas Tech teams.
The Texas Tech Equestrian Center is a 100-acre facility that serves as a teaching, research, and outreach center. It hosts the Texas Tech Equestrian (IHSA) Team, Horse Judging Team, Ranch Horse Team, Rodeo Team, and Therapeutic Riding Teaching and Research Center. The facility includes an indoor arena with seating for approximately 650 people and 10 additional arenas. It maintains a herd of 30 to 40 horses for teaching and team support. The center is located about 15 minutes from the main campus and has over 400 stalls on-site for events, students, and outside boarders. The center was donated to Texas Tech University in 2004 and consists of three indoor arenas, a 180-stall barn, and five outdoor arenas. Several horsemanship classes and clinics are offered here as well. The equestrian center also hosts horse shows and leases the arena to outside productions for a variety of events.
