Texas Dhia

Texas DHIA is a producer-controlled cooperative association that helps dairies across Texas progress and advance their herds. Established in 1967, the company began as the Texas Federation of Dairy Herd Improvement Associations, Inc., at Texas A&M University before being renamed in 1975. Texas DHIA offers milk testing services, where certified field service technicians collect samples and gather milk weights at the dairy. Samples are analyzed at two lab locations for components chosen by the producer. Full component testing, ketosis analysis for fresh cows, and MUN (milk urea nitrogen) testing are available at both labs. The Canyon laboratory also tests for milk and serum pregnancy. The company serves the tri-state area of Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.
