These companies include Sierra Title of Hidalgo County, Inc., Sierra Title Company of Cameron, Willacy, & Kenedy Counties, Inc., Sierra Title of El Paso, and Great Western Abstract & Title Company, LLC.The origin of the Sierra Title Group began with its formation in Edinburg, Texas, in September 1969. Sierra Title of Hidalgo County maintains offices in Weslaco, McAllen, and Edinburg. Sierra Title Company of Cameron, Willacy, & Kenedy Counties, Inc. was formed in October 1979 in Brownsville and Harlingen, Texas, and included Willacy County in 1995. Sierra Title of El Paso started in 1946 as Southwest Title and Abstract Company. Great Western Abstract & Title Company, LLC (GWAT) was established in January 2012 as a joint venture between Sierra Title Company, Inc. and Great Western Abstract Title Company, LLC. GWAT services clients throughout New Mexico and El Paso County.
