Shockey Stables

Shockey Stables, located just south of the Mall of Abilene in Texas, offers riding lessons, birthday parties, summer day camps, and full care boarding. They provide a welcoming atmosphere where visitors can immerse themselves in the world of horses and enjoy unforgettable experiences. Shockey Stables has well-maintained facilities and a diverse selection of horses. They offer trail rides, riding lessons, horse boarding and summer camps for all ages. Ms. Judy established her horse business in 1989, DBA: Dixon Horse Farm. In 1991 she left her job at Abilene Aero to specialize in western horse and rider education full time and became known as The Horse Lady. In 2007 she married Mr. David Shockey and changed the business name to Shockey Stables. The facility includes a 12 stall horse barn, an 80x150 covered arena, a 73x115 open top arena with a round pen and viewing stand, and an outdoor riding area with a horse playground and some fun trails.
