Rockport Abstract & Title Co. is a family-owned, full-service title company serving Rockport, Texas, and the greater Aransas County. They act as third-party intermediaries in real estate transactions, protecting the best interests of all parties and ensuring the security of transactions. The company has a history of dedication to Aransas County, maintaining records of real property transactions. Originally Modern Title, owned by attorney Emory Spencer from the 1920s into the 1970s, it became Rockport Abstract & Title Company in 1978 under attorneys James Anderson and William Walston. Walston’s daughter, Jacalyn Bauer, joined and later led the business, expanding it to include Rockport Title Company. The Lambert family now owns and manages the company, continuing the legacy built over the past 40 years.
