Rainbow of Hope Texas enhances well-being for young adults with special needs and veterans through equine therapy, life & social skills programs in Rosharon, TX.
Rainbow of Hope Texas, located in Rosharon, TX, is dedicated to improving the physical and emotional well-being of developmentally, physically, and emotionally challenged young adults and veterans. Since its inception in 2020, Rainbow of Hope has served almost 200 individuals from Brazoria County. The organization provides a safe, healthy, and nature-filled environment that promotes learning, growth, and relationship development between humans, the land, water, and animals. Rainbow of Hope focuses on four key areas: social skills, life skills, equine therapy, and ecotherapy. The organization's programs include life skills, social skills, music, fitness, hygiene, pottery, and various forms of art. Students practice ecotherapy and life skills at Harvest for the Hungry in Freeport, participating in farm-to-table classes. They also learn laundry basics, kitchen basics, gardening, and fishing. Equine therapy helps increase self-confidence and fosters independence through riding skills and horse care. Internships with True to Life Ministries and Zieglers Graphics offer retail and job skills. Rainbow of Hope partners with Valhallan for competitive gaming, teaching teamwork, leadership, and life skills. The Thunder Hooves Veterans Equine Program is an 8-week program designed to help veterans develop life and soft skills through horse-related tasks. This program enhances mental health and well-being through equine therapy and reflective journaling classes, and is certified through Spirit Horse International. Rainbow of Hope collaborates with various partners, including The Warrior Refuge, Veteran Advocates, Services & Training (V.A.S.T.), Adult & Teen Challenge Houston Women’s Campus, Stay Tuned For Vets, LS Church, William Garay Creative Marketing, Valhallan Esports Training, Harvest for the Hungry Inc., True To Life Ministries, Don's Pottery, Ziegler's Graphics, Warrior Spirit, and Spacio.us.
