Paul Wheeler Boot Co

Wheeler Boot Company was a family-owned boot making business with more than 50 years of experience designing and handcrafting boots. Founded in 1960 by Paul Wheeler, the company was known worldwide for its custom designed, handmade, well-fitted western boots. In 1984, Paul’s son Dave managed the shop, designed and crafted the boots along with longtime boot maker Jorge Amaro. Each customer was measured personally and chose the exact piece of leather. Clients brought their own hides to have boots made. Boot styles ranged from traditional dark calf, elegant alligator and ostrich, to vibrant multicolor designs. The Wheelers were able to take an idea, sketch or picture, and reproduce it in leather. From traditional to contemporary, for the working cowboy or the surgeon, the goal of the Wheeler family was to construct a well-made boot that fit. Wheeler Boot Company stopped taking orders and closed its doors in July 2020.
