Painted Lakes Ranch

Painted Lakes Ranch (PLR) is a wedding venue located on 500 acres about 45 minutes from Wichita Falls, 45 minutes from Weatherford and a little over an hour West of Fort Worth. PLR offers panoramic views in all directions, and The Texas Tumbleweed Room, which is the wedding facility, sitting on top of a hill with a lake at the bottom. The view includes huge old oak trees, some of which are evergreen. In addition, to the ceremony area in front of the venue, couples can choose from multiple other locations on the property. The Texas Tumbleweed is the wedding facility with a rich local history. It was originally the town's feed store and it was moved onto the property in one piece. The building is climate controlled and has gorgeous old wood walls and floors. The Tumbleweed Room is 4,000 sq ft, and has an adjoining climate controlled Sun Room (3,000 sq ft) perfect for a huge dance floor or an option for an indoor ceremony. PLR offers lodging at weddings and events, and even for getaways, retreats and parties. Lodging comes with access to fire pits, fishing, a playground area for children, corn hole, horse shoes, volleyball pit, Frisbee golf, fishing and more.
