Lakeview Equine-Assisted Services

Lakeview Equine-Assisted Services, located in Tyler, Texas, is a therapeutic equestrian center that provides horseback riding lessons and therapeutic horsemanship programs. Since 2024, the center has been committed to empowering individuals of all ability levels through horsemanship, promoting physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Alexandria Hurd, a PATH Intl. certified instructor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, owns and operates the center. Lakeview offers inclusive riding and non-riding experiences tailored to diverse populations, including therapeutic and adaptive riding programs for individuals with special needs. In partnership with Life Milestones LLC, Lakeview provides Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) services led by Elizabeth Frisby, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and Alexandria Hurd. These sessions support at-risk youth, trauma survivors, and individuals facing life challenges, fostering trust, emotional regulation, and communication skills in a non-judgmental environment. The facility, situated on 25 acres, provides a peaceful setting for learning and personal growth. Lakeview's EAP program, grounded in the Diamond Model, emphasizes a partnership between the client, mental health professional, equine specialist, and therapy horse. The program serves at-risk youth, including victims/survivors of sex trafficking, youth in the juvenile justice system, and children/teens navigating trauma or grief. They offer 8-week and 10-week programs tailored to individual or group needs.
