Guzman & Muñoz Engineering & Surveying, Inc. (GMES) has been delivering engineering, surveying, planning, and construction management services to clients throughout South Texas for over 50 years. The firm started in 1973 in Harlingen as Guzman & Galindo Inc., transitioned to Guzman & Associates, Inc. the following year, and evolved into its current form in 1994 under the leadership of Mr. Jose L. Munoz, P.E., S.I.T. GMES's corporate headquarters is located in Mercedes, Texas. The company utilizes networked computer systems, GPS surveying equipment, aerial mapping, and CAD. GMES offers services tailored to government entities, businesses, landowners, builders, and developers, including civil engineering design for water, wastewater, and roadways, storm drainage, erosion control, hydrology and hydraulics, land surveying services, land use planning services, site design, GIS, building design, and project management.
