GP Ranch

GP Ranch, run by Chris and Theda Pogue in Sulphur Springs, is a veteran- and Native-led homestead producing grass-fed bison meat, pork, and free-range eggs. They emphasize sustainable, regenerative practices using prairie-adapted bison to restore soil ecosystems and maintain heritage livestock. Initially focused on meat sales, the ranch shifted to educational outreach, offering farm tours, workshops, and classes on butchery, processing hides, gardening, and sustainable agriculture. Their mission is to reconnect the community—especially school groups and tribal members—with food sources, soil health, and traditional skills.
