DWD Longhorns, run by Don and Debbie Davis since 1991, raises registered Texas Longhorn cattle on Seco Valley Ranch east of Utopia, Texas. Their breeding program emphasizes diversity, mothering ability, fertility, low-maintenance, and the breed’s signature twisty horns. Their stock consistently returns a 99% calf crop under rugged Hill Country conditions. Besides offering seedstock registered with major associations, they also run a grass-fed beef program and welcome ranch visits and agritourism experiences. With a herd of about 50 Longhorns, the ranch promotes sustainable agriculture and public education on heritage cattle. The business operates with a holistic approach to land and livestock management.
