Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences

The Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) teaches veterinary medicine, explores solutions to veterinary medical challenges, and delivers animal care. The department offers internship and residency programs, contributes to continuing education, and provides medical services through the Large Animal Teaching Hospital (LATH). It also offers PhD and MS degrees in Biomedical Sciences, with emphasis areas including equine reproduction, large and small ruminant reproduction, equine infectious diseases, clinical epidemiology & patient-based studies, and spatial analysis of health outcomes. The department also engages in various labs & programs such as the Equine Infectious Disease Laboratory and the Legends Premier Stallion Season Auction.
