Cochran Blair & Potts

Cochran Blair & Potts, located in Belton, TX, has provided Central Texas with customer service and high-quality merchandise since 1869. The store offers a diverse line of merchandise, from dry goods, gifts, and saddles to tailored clothing, suits, and boots. Founded in 1869 by Colonel H.M. Cook, it was originally called Cook Mercantile Company. The store moved to Belton in 1884. Over the years, as family members joined the business, the name changed several times until it became Cochran, Blair & Potts Department Store in 1917. In 1970, Roy and Jean Potts purchased the entire ownership. Their son, Rob Potts Sr., took over operation and was later joined by the seventh generation, Robert Potts Jr., his wife Ashley Potts and Michael Potts.
