Briggs Ranches, one of the oldest established Santa Gertrudis operations in the United States, traces its roots back to 1942 when founder R.W. Briggs Sr. purchased his first Santa Gertrudis bulls from the King Ranch. The ranch has since expanded to include divisions in Bloomington, Catarina, Victoria, and Rio Grande City, Texas, encompassing close to 40,000 acres. Briggs Ranches focuses on breeding Santa Gertrudis and Brangus cattle, emphasizing performance and quality.
