Avanti Sporthorses

Avanti Sporthorses is a hunter/jumper facility in Guyton, Georgia, led by Jessica Macdonald and Head Trainer Melissa Blades. They foster a family-oriented atmosphere for riders of all ages and skill levels. With experience in sourcing top-quality horses from Europe, they specialize in importing horses and facilitating sales to the U.S. market. The team develops young horses, guides them through the rankings, and nurtures both young riders and adults. Their show team competes at top events across the country. In addition to training and competition, they offer boarding, lessons, and clinics. Melissa Blades began riding at four and has experience training young horses. She was mentored by trainers like Sari Clipperton, Bobby Dryer, and Michael Page, becoming a top Junior Rider in the Midwest. She graduated from the University of Findlay with a bachelor's in Business Management and Equestrian Studies and gained international experience in Germany, riding young jumpers up to 1.50m under Helena Stormanns. Katy King joined the Avanti team in 2022, teaching all ages and guiding them to compete in local and rated circuits.
