Located in Jasper and Tyler Counties, Angelina-Neches/Dam B WMA offers hunting, fishing, camping, and wildlife viewing in a diverse ecosystem.

The Angelina Neches/Dam B Wildlife Management Area (WMA) spans 12,636 acres in Jasper and Tyler Counties, formed by the Angelina River, Neches River, and B.A. Steinhagen Reservoir. Approximately 7,000 acres comprise a portion of the reservoir, with the remaining land consisting of hardwood bottomland, vegetation, and river floodplains. The area features a generally flat topography with numerous sloughs and ridges. Dominant tree species include water oak, cypress, sweet gum, and red oak in the bottomlands, while upland areas support mature loblolly and shortleaf pine stands. Management of the water and land resources is a collaborative effort between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Parks and Wildlife. The dam was originally constructed to supply water for rice farming but now serves as part of the local flood control system and ensures freshwater flow into the Neches River bay area. Visitors can engage in various activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, bike riding, hiking, and wildlife observation. The WMA provides opportunities to photograph both scenery and native wildlife within its unique ecosystem.
