7 Star Horse Therapy, established in 2004, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Amarillo, Texas, dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals facing physical, mental, and emotional challenges through equine-assisted therapy. The organization's mission is to facilitate healing of the mind, body, and spirit through the grace and strength of the horse. \n\n7 Star Horse Therapy provides alternative therapy programs, including Therapeutic Riding and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). Therapeutic Riding helps clients improve balance, strength, and core stability through horseback riding, mimicking the motion of walking to aid muscle development. EAP focuses on mental health, assisting clients with PTSD, trauma, and other mental health conditions. Horses help clients uncover deep-seated issues, providing a unique therapeutic experience particularly beneficial for veterans, EMS, and first responders. 7 Star serves clients with various disabilities, including ADHD, autism, Down Syndrome, CP, MS, MR, MD, and traumatic brain injuries. The organization's trained instructors and mental health professionals are certified through PATH International and EAGALA.
