Boogie Woogie Marshall Presents a Lead Belly Tribute
This special segment of the Boogie Woogie 2025 festival takes place September 26–27 at Marshall’s Memorial City Hall Performance Center. The weekend opens with a documentary screening followed by presentations on Lead Belly’s legacy, and culminates in live tributes featuring acclaimed musicians like Daryl Davis, Guy Davis, Carl “Sonny” Leyland, and Liz Pennock & Dr. Blues celebrating his influence. The event honors Huddie “Lead Belly” Ledbetter’s roots and musical heritage through historical storytelling, piano-led blues, and vibrant performances from boogie-woogie legends
