As part of the broader 89th XIT Rodeo & Reunion, the parade is scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM, winding through downtown Dalhart under the playful theme “Stirrup Some Fun.” Prior to the parade weekend, events such as the Watermelon Feed and Pork Chop Feed begin early in the week at the XIT Rodeo grounds, culminating in the main rodeo events, live music, and the parade at the heart of town
