Equest, founded over four decades ago, enhances the lives of individuals with diverse needs through therapeutic activities with horses. As the first therapeutic horsemanship center in Texas and one of the nation’s largest PATH International Premier Accredited Centers, Equest offers specialized programs tailored to clients ages two and up with physical, intellectual, and emotional disabilities. These programs include therapeutic horsemanship, physical and occupational therapy, a veterans program, equine-assisted counseling, a literacy program, mini horse ambassadors, and corporate team-building workshops. Equest is a PATH International Premier Accredited Center. The organization's master-certified staff members design curriculum and train the next generation of equine-assisted therapy instructors. They have 35 therapy horses, 10 instructors, 4 PT/OT therapists, 3 counselors and over 700 volunteers serving 2,000 clients.
