Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute

The Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute (CDRI) is located in the foothills of the Davis Mountains. CDRI promotes public awareness and appreciation of the Chihuahuan Desert through education, visitor experience, and research. CDRI has hiking trails, a botanical garden, a cactus museum, and a visitor center. CDRI also provides hands-on curricular support to West Texas K–12 Schools and partners with Sul Ross State University to support higher education and research.
