The cattle are 100% free range and grass fed. Founded in 2020 by Cesar Telles, a Marine and Army veteran, the company was inspired by Israeli ingenuity in growing produce and Telles' early love for animals and ranch life. The farm produces a limited number of animals per year and uses a USDA processor in Avant, Texas, with beef that is USDA inspected and dry-aged for 14 days to enhance tenderness. Captain T's offers whole and half cows, as well as individual items, with discounts for veterans, teachers, and bulk orders. The company is planning to offer tours and animal rentals in the future.
